Ephesians 1:7–8 | Redeemed, Forgiven, and Moved by Lavish Grace

 July 5, 2020

By Cam Bargerbos

In Jesus, we have redemption through his blood
In Jesus, we have forgiveness
It’s all according to the riches of his grace which he has lavished upon us.
The point is, why can Paul not stop praising God. Why do Christians praise God? It’s because we have been set free from our slavery to sin, we have been reconciled to God through Jesus - there is no more guilt or shame, nothing to earn, nothing to pay back - it’s all of grace - extravagant, costly, grace that comes at an extreme personal cost to God - how can we not praise? Could there possibly be anything or anyone else more praiseworthy than God who has lavished his grace upon us?
