Romans 12:1-2 | The heavenward trajectory of a renewed mind

In light of everything that has come before in Paul’s gospel of God in Christ Jesus, Christians now have a job role. We are saved for service; redeemed to be different; no longer conforming to the present world but transformed in preparation for the next one! In other words, Christian Obedience is the response to the good news of Jesus. Is this a chore? Well, no. Ok, wait, yes. Let’s be honest. It IS a chore. Because our hearts are still attached to our idols in some measure. But as we present ourselves to God as living sacrifices in active obedience, God’s decree is that our understanding of his good and perfect will, will increase too. This week we will lift up the benefits of being saved by God in Christ, and the benefits start now. Romans 12:1-2
