Aive To Sin or Alive To God?

Do you understand yourself to be dead to sin and alive to God? Think deeply on that question for a moment.Actually answer it.... do you understand yourself to be dead to sin and alive to God? What would the proof be?This week in our journey through Paul's Letter to the Romans, we come across the logical progression of being united to Christ. If we really are united to Jesus, then just as he died, so did we; and just as he lives, so will we! New life is first and foremost a declaration made to us. Yet our text also shows there is an attitude change required by us, and a behavioral change in us.We have a new agenda; new goals; a new standard - and all patterned after our Redeemer, Christ Jesus the King. This week, we address what it means to be united to Christ - not just in his death, but in his life both now, and onwards.

I deliberated whether to add this little video, but it just speaks so well to the allure, initial ecstasy, and yet destructive results of sin. It’s not about drugs. It’s about any and all addictions. It’s a short animation (it goes for about 4mins) but I hope it might help to point us to the realities of sin’s degrading properties. Kiwi tastes a golden nugget. It's delicious.

Forge Men's group - Via Zoom - Next Wednesday 22nd - 7.30pm - 8.30pm.
See this weeks newsletter or our Members Facebook group HERE for the link.
What will we do? 2 things: catch up with each other, and with the Word of God. We'll continue through Proverbs [we're up to Chapter 3!]. The aim is 10-15 minutes catch up, and the rest of the time going through the chapter. We're going to keep it sharp, so after One hour feel free to leave at your own discretion! Download Zoom and be ready at 7-30 🙂 "See" you then.
If you need a hand with using Zoom give Paul a call on 0400631774 beforehand and he will talk you through the set up.
