Romans 1:24–32 | The Wrath of God

The Wrath of God, Moral disintegration and the hope of God’s children.

Last week we looked on with sombre hearts as we read about the wrath of God revealed against sinful humanity. We talked about WHY God’s wrath is revealed (because humanity suppresses the truth about him and glorified all things but Him) and now this week we talk about the HOW. In other words, what does God’s wrath look like? Is it tangible? Can we peel back the curtains, look outside and see it? The answer is in Romans, and the answer is a definitive, and sombre, ‘Yes.’ This week we’ll understand God’s righteous ‘letting go + handing over,’ of people to their sin, the moral disintegration that follows, and the hope that God’s children have in Christ!
