Romans 2:12–29 | Religion God Requires

 February 9, 2020

It appears that back in the day there was some sort of misleading perception of prestige amongst the Jews. Why? Because they were the chosen ones - they had the law, and they had... circumcision... (Btw, there IS an understandably incredible reason why they could rejoice in this one ). These were ‘gifts’ that showed God’s wonderful works of mercy towards Israel. However, his provision did not necessarily result in their submission - and it appears they were messing things up spiritually in the same way their neighbours were. Could this be the same for the Church of 2020? No doubts! But it’s not all hard words this week, so see you at Gateway for the next walk through the Book of Romans.
