Romans 9:24–29 | God’s Outward Gospel

This week we look at another part of the doctrine of Election [which is, as we've understood, that it is God who chooses people, and not the other way around]. While we can be tempted to mourn the exclusivity of the gospel of Christ Jesus, this week's text reminds us that this gospel has gone out into the entire world. pulling sinners out of spiritual mires + drawing them into the household of God. What does this mean? There is hope. God is calling his children home. We are not today who we will be tomorrow. There are condemned sinners today who may yet be saved tomorrow. The Gospel is an outward Gospel - and faith comes through hearing! This means we have work to do.
