Romans 11:1–10 | God Keeps His Own

 September 21, 2020

While this week our text goes into the 1st century position of Israel before God, it comes to us as an encouragement in the 21st century that God doesn't change his mind. He keeps His own. He has his people picked from among Israel, as well as all other nations. In other words - we're not alone. We are one church of many churches; one family of many families. In our struggle against sin, and pain, and oppression, and persecution, we have from this text a boldness that God is raising up a great sum of people for himself [the elect] and we need not be surprised when we encounter the hardened hearts of other people.
